Were Talkin Bugs

Bugs, bugs, bugs, lets talk bugs.

"What do you suppose?
A bee sat on my nose.
Then what do you think?
He gave me a wink
And said, "I beg your pardon,
I thought you were the garden."

Today in school, our focus yet again was centered around bugs! We made big bugs, little bugs, fat bugs, and small bugs. BUGS,BUGS,BUGS!!!
Within our bug adventure we made two different pattern strips using butterfly's and grasshopper's. While the kids crafted I reread "Bugs in your Backyard"!

We learned letter Z and number ten, and to decorate our ten's we added little black beans and made them into spiders. To continue on with our number and bug theme we made a caterpillar with ten sections. This was beneficial to your children because it gave them the chance to practice writing their numbers in a way that was fun. Finally, as our last project of the day we made our very own grasshopper puzzles. Overall we had a very BUZZZYY day!
Stay tuned to find out our next adventure!
Until then, have a great weekend!
Megan.
P.S. Watch out where you are walking, you wouldn't want to squish any of our new beloved friends!

Lets go Marching!

Lets go marching!

Did you know that lady bugs smell out of their feet? Interesting right! Did you know that the simple shape of a diamond can be made into a kite, ring, birds beak and even a heart! Your kids learned all of these great facts this week in school. Our lessons focused primarily on the life of a bug. Yesterday, we learned all about what it is like to be a little ladybug. To follow along with our theme we crafted our very own ladybugs! Of course they turned out a little bit bigger then your average size ladybug but we tried our best. To finish up our day the kids and I filled the classroom with our beautiful version of the "Ants go marching one by one!"
Overall we had a great day!
Thanks again for reading, have a great week!

Ode to Mothers.

Attention all Mothers!

You should feel so loved! Our theme for preschool this week is all about you! As much as it kills me I promised to keep my lips sealed and not share what exactly we did. However, I will share they have been putting so much effort into making your mothers day one to remember! I hope you thoroughly enjoy! It has been so fun watching there thoughtfulness truly shine through this week. It melts my heart when I ask what color or design they want to use and they reply with "my mommy's favorite color is blue so that is what I want to use".  If only children could stay this cute and innocent forever!
Anyway, Happy Mother's Day (almost)

Until next time!
